Creating a Project

Create a project with:

curvea new my-site

If the project name is omitted, the CLI prompts for one.

Interactive options

curvea new asks whether to:

• use Tailwind CSS, default: yes
• include the Lucide helper, default: no
• use the Basic website or Blank template

Project names may contain letters, numbers, dashes, and underscores.

Generated project

The scaffolder creates the standard source directories, public/, dist/, curvea.config.json, package.json, and .gitignore.

The generated package.json includes the current Curvea CLI as a local dev dependency and project scripts:

The generated .gitignore excludes node_modules and dist.

Next steps

After scaffolding:

cd my-site
npm install
npm run dev
npm run build

If Tailwind or Lucide was selected, the scaffolder may install those feature dependencies while creating the project. npm install remains the standard next step and ensures the declared project dependencies are present.
